humans are conscious for many reasons, mainly the reason is evolution, but it might be something more..
perhaps its a part of our brain that in someway is very close to "god-like" we just haven't unlocked its full potential, and what I mean by this is we can perceive things and give that thing a meaning, like for example a rock cant look at another rock and think wow that is beautiful, only humans using their perception of reality can do such a thing and it gives things meaning, which in itself is magical we can actually view and see things and imagine there could be so many more possibility's to how we perceive things we just have to evolve more and figure things out.
